°Catalytic Stripper (CS) (Model CX)

The °Catalytic Stripper (CS) is a PMP-required EURO VII vehicle emission measurement component

Evermore stringent emissions regulations aim to improve internal combustion engine efficiency and air quality. For particulate emissions, this requires precise and repeatable measurement of particulate matter and number (PM; PN), which is achieved through the use of a Volatile Particle Remover (VPR). The VPR both dilutes the sample aerosol to manageable measurement levels and aims to remove all non-solid (i.e. non-soot) particles for more accurate measurement.

Improvements in technology and understanding have led to the most stringent emissions controls yet conceived; where PN down to 10 nm now faces strict targets (Solid Particle Number 10nm; SPN10).
